Kodak Debuts Its First Waterproof Digital Still Camera: EasyShare Sport

Rochester, NY—Dunk it in the pool or bring it to the beach—Kodak’s first waterproof digital still camera can shoot 10 feet underwater and is also dustproof. The EasyShare Sport is a 12 megapixel camera with a 2.4-inch LCD, Kodak’s smart capture feature, multiple scene and color modes, face recognition and VGA video capability.

Featuring the company’s exclusive share button, Kodak’s digital cameras offer “3-step sharing” to make it easy for consumers to e-mail pictures to friends and the Kodak Pulse digital photo frame, as well as upload them to popular social networking sites. Kodak says its cameras also “tag to the largest number of social networks” and allow users to simultaneously share to multiple social networks and e-mail using the share button. 

Kodak is also introducing Kodak Essentials, a line of universal accessories that includes the Kodak Essential Clip system, a customizable, modular case system compatible with most cameras, mobile phones and PMPs. Available in several colors and styles, the system includes six portable device cases and a messenger bag.
