Fountain Valley, CA—Kingston Digital, Inc., the flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, launched the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Generation 2 (DTU30G2). The DTU30G2, Kingston’s fastest USB flash drive, uses a native USB 3.0 controller for better performance and power management.

The new flash drive, utilizing the latest technology for USB 3.0, is targeted at IT professionals and photo enthusiasts who want to take advantage of the performance improvements offered by USB 3.0 technology to quickly transfer large documents, high-res photos and HD video

The DTU30G2 has a read speed up to 100MB/sec and a write speed up to 70MB/sec. When plugged into a USB 2.0 port, the drive has read/write speeds of 30MB/sec. The DTU30G2 is available in 16-, 32- and 64 gigabyte (GB) capacities.

Backed by a five-year warranty and 24/7 tech support, the drive is engineered to operate in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 140°F. Kingston’s DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Generation 2 has the following MSRPs: 16GB, $77; 32GB, $116; 64GB, $213.
