WIth the DTV transition behind us, many people are asking what should they do with their obsolete analog television. The Consumer Electronics Association is not only giving consumers advice on how to dispose of these TVs, but also giving them a quick and easy way to find where to do it properly.
Just visit www.mygreenelectronics.org and type in your zip code. Within seconds you will have a list of nearby take-back and recycling locations in your area. I typed in my zip and was surprised to find 13 locations within 10 miles of my zip code.
The site also has some great advice on how to dispose of electronics properly to leave the least impact on our earth. They provide information on how to reduce energy use, reuse your products, recycle electronics and make responsible choices.
You can even use the on site Energy Calculator to see how your electronics’ use impacts your wallet by the minute, day, month and year. it’s cool and very user friendly.
