Center Valley, PA—Olympus Viewer 2 software, which replaces Olympus Studio 2, is now available free of charge to existing Studio 2 users and to E-System and Olympus Pen owners. It can be downloaded from Olympus websites beginning in May.
Designed for photo editing, selection and RAW development, including art filter effects, Viewer 2 offers the same working environment as Studio 2; for example, image selection and development of RAW image files remains the same. Viewer 2 is compatible with Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
Olympus also released firmware to improve autofocus performance for still images and HD video recording for its Pen E-P1, E-P2 and E-PL1 compact interchangeable-lens cameras. The firmware also enables the menu and recorded image to be displayed on the E-P2 and E-PL1’s LCD while the VF-2 electronic viewfinder is in use. olympusamerica.com
