Kingston Digital, the flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology, introduced the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB Flash Drive, which is a USB 3.0 flash drive designed for photo enthusiasts and gamers. It features the fastest speeds and largest capacities that Kingston offers in a USB drive.
The HyperX 3.0’s high-speed eight-channel architecture provides USB 3.0 data transfer rates of up to 225MB/sec read and 135MB/sec write, so you save time when opening, editing, and copying large files and applications between devices. The write speeds also allow you to work on large files or applications directly from the drive without performance lag.
“Enthusiasts have long known HyperX as the memory of choice for overclockers and power users who need the most performance from system memory,” said Andrew Ewing, Flash memory business manager, Kingston. “The new DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB flash drive continues this tradition. With the fastest speeds and largest capacity, this storage device is the perfect solution for users who require high performance and carry a lot of data.”
The DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 is available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. The 256GB unit can store approximately 68,266 10MP photos or 37,924 18MP photos, 2,276 minutes of 1080p Full HD video, 10 Blu-ray discs (25GB each), 54 DVDs (4.7GB each), or 13,473,684 Microsoft Word file pages with various formatting and basic graphics.
Backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports, DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 sports a metal and rubberized casing with a reinforced key ring hole, so it can be attached to a key ring or lanyard.
