Director Terrence Malick has traditionally gone years between movies, but he’s been uncharacteristically quick with his next film, “To The Wonder,” which will arrive in 2013, less than two years after the director’s “Tree of Life.”
The new film stars Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, Olga Kurylenko, Rachel Weisz and Michael Sheen, and here’s the first trailer:
The clip, featuring beautifully rendered outdoor landscapes and monologue-like voiceovers, is certainly very “Malick-y,” to use a frequent cineaste cliche. It comes out stateside April 12.
