It’s been a big week for Beyonce news, starting with the announcement that the singer is working on a new album. Now, there’s more: the singer will reunite with her former group, Destiny’s Child, next month.
US Weekly reported Friday that Beyonce will perform with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams as part of the Super Bowl halftime show Feb. 3 in New Orleans. The report is that Beyonce, the halftime show’s headliner, will begin by performing solo, before Rowland and Williams join her for a medley of the group’s hits.
Destiny’s Child last performed together in 2006. The group will also record new material as part of a greatest-hits album later this year.
Beyonce said this week in a GQ interview that she has recorded around 50 songs for an upcoming solo album, with such collaborators as Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake.
