Scheduled to roll into movie theaters June 8, “Safety Not Guaranteed” is the story of three magazine writers who investigate the creator of a classified ad who seeks “someone to go back in time” with him.
The movie stars Audrey Plaza of Parks and Recreation, Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Jeff Garlin and Kristen Bell. Our impression? The movie looks charming and predictable. Of course the cynical city slickers would experience emotional revelations and walk away more fulfilled as human beings. However, just because a film is cliched does not mean it can’t also be enjoyable.
