Sofia Coppola’s movie “The Bling Ring”- about a group of young women who stole jewelry and other items from the homes of Hollywood celebrities- will come out this June.
According to the Wrap, the film will star Emma Watson, along with Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Claire Julien and Taissa Farmiga.
The real-life “bling ring” operated in 2008 and 2009, casing out and robbing the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson and others. The seven thieves reportedly stole around $3 million during the spree, which ended with their arrests. One alleged participant, Alexis Neiers- who Watson is playing in the film- was part of the short-lived E! reality series Pretty Wild.
“Bling Ring” is the fifth film for Coppola, best known for directing 2003′s “Lost in Translation.”
