Brad Bird, whose directing credits include “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “The Iron Giant,” numerous Simpsons episodes and last year’s “Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol,” is set for a new project called 1952.

The script was written by Damon Lindelof, the cocreator and longtime co-showrunner of Lost, the Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

Lindelof’s co-writer, surprisingly, is longtime Entertainment Weekly staff writer Jeff Jenson, who is perhaps best known for his especially lengthy recaps of Lost that ran on the magazine’s website.

The script’s subject matter and casting have not been disclosed.
