HABL will be the Grammy-winner’s first album in four years and her first release outside of Warner Music Group.
“This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments,” Morissette said in a statement. “It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through the song.”
The 12-song set album is the follow-up to Morissette’s 2008 release “Flavors of Entanglement.” Although the album was successful and reached number 8 on Billboard’s top 200 list, Morissette is best known for her 1995 release “Jagged Little Pill.”
The lead single, “Guardian,” will be available for purchase May 15, through iTunes.
