Popular progressive metal band Dream Theater has released the official trailer for its upcoming concert release Live at Luna Park, due out in May from Eagle Rock Entertainment. The trailer can be viewed by clicking here.

Live at Luna Park was filmed in 2012 over two nights in South America at the end of the band’s 15-month tour promoting its 2011 CD A Dramatic Turn of Events, for which Dream Theater received its first-ever Grammy award nomination.

Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the concert in six different formats: 2DVD, Blu-ray, Digital Video, 2DVD/3CD, Blu-ray/3CD, and a deluxe 2DVD/Blu-ray/3CD edition.

The tour documented on Live at Luna Park was the band’s first with drummer Mike Mangini, who replaced original drummer Mike Portnoy after his 2010 departure.

“This is without a doubt the closest a viewer at home will come to experiencing a live Dream Theater concert,” promised guitarist/producer/founding member John Petrucci. “Between the hi-def video, the huge audio mix and the documentary-style behind-the-scenes footage, you are truly transported to the arena and completely immersed in the entire live experience.”
