Ben Affleck in "Argo"
The trailer surfaced Tuesday for “Argo,” a film set for release this fall that’s directed by and stars Ben Affleck. The movie is based on a completely bonkers true story about a rescue mission staged during the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis, which entailed the CIA impersonating a film crew in order to get escaped hostages out of the Canadian ambassador’s house.
Not only does the film sport a super-deep cast- Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Kyle Chandler, Victor Garber, Alan Arkin, Philip Baker Hall- but it could find itself topical, with Iran likely to be in the news this year.
