The long wait is finally over for Community fans. The beloved NBC sitcom Thursday night will air its first new episode in more than eight months meaning that finally, we’ll have new Alison Brie gifs to look forward to.
The series was renewed for a 13-episode season and was originally scheduled to run on Fridays, but a scheduling shift both brought the series back to its Thursday timeslot while delaying the premiere until February. Among other inconveniences, this means Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes will run at the wrong time of year.
Of course, the biggest change of all is that creator and former show runner Dan Harmon is gone, replaced by Happy Endings veterans David Guarascio and Moses Port. Chevy Chase will also be departing the series, although not until later in the season.
Here’s the final trailer for the new episodes:
Community airs at 8 p.m. (Eastern) on NBC.
