Two of the biggest stars in popular music may be joining forces this summer for a major stadium tour. Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are planning a tour of 11 or 13 stadiums this summer, Rolling Stone reported Tuesday, citing sources involved in the negotiations between the two camps.
No dates were announced, nor did the report state whether the tour will stay in North America or go international.
The two men collaborated on Timberlake’s new single “Suit and Tie,” from his forthcoming album “The 20/20 Experience.” Timberlake has been away from music for several years, mostly concentrating on his acting career, and hasn’t toured since 2007.
Jay-Z, meanwhile, is no stranger to sharing the bill with another famous singer. He toured years ago with R. Kelly, and more recently with Kanye West. And he has shared the stage with his wife, Beyonce, numerous times.
