WWE head Vince McMahon has had a long term goal for the company to be a global entertainment power. While the WWE Network is in limbo, WWE’s film studio is moving along at a decent pace. Now the studio has announced “Cruisin’ For a Bruisin,” an action comedy Adam Bhala Lough will write and direct. The first step toward being a decent movie is that the release doesn’t tout John Cena or Big Show as one of the movie’s stars.
The story is about two rule-breaking ex-cops who team up to take down the crooked senator and criminals who murdered their mentor. I’d like to see them change the title though. Cruisin’ For a Bruisin’ sounds like a WWE pay-per-view, and not one of the important ones you can convince friends to chip in $5 to purchase.
Other WWE Studios projects in the pipeline include an ABC Family Channel Christmas movie starring former champ The Miz, and a Scooby-Doo cartoon. Is it wrong that the Scooby-Doo one is the movie I’m most looking forward to?
