ER vet Anthony Edwards’ return to TV was a short one. ABC has pulled the plug on Zero Hour, which featured Edwards as the editor of a skeptics’ magazine.  His wife gets kidnapped, throwing him into the midst of a very real conspiracy theory.

Debuting to mixed reviews and flagging ratings, it’s not a shock to see this one gone. Its Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot puts its against CBS comedy juggernaut The Big Bang Theory. That slot already claimed another conspiracy show, Last Resort.

Reality and game shows will pinch hit in this time period for now. ABC will air Shark Tank reruns for two weeks, then Wife Swap runs for seven weeks. Wipeout returns May 9. The remaining Zero Hour eps will likely air over the summer.
