Chris Rock’s Next Directorial Effort Will Be a Showbiz Satire

Sure, we all love Chris Rock the comedian but after he gave the world “Head of State” and “I Think I Love My Wife” do we feel anything for Chris Rock the auteur?

Nonetheless, in spite of the world’s vague sense of disappointment with Rock’s filmmaking career, the comedian is currently working on a third film.

As Vulture is reporting, Rock will write, direct and star in a -currently untitled- film  about a comedian who wants to be seen as a serious actor. Admittedly, this isn’t a bad premise. Especially if Rock is intending to turn the gun on Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and other funnymen who go to incredible lengths to be taken seriously as actors.

Who knows? Maybe the third time will be a charm for Rock.
