However, Savage is no stranger to the glamorous world of Hollywood, being one of the very few talented child actors that has remained in the business and has continuously improved over the years. One year after a very cute supporting role in the 1987 “Princess Bride”, the then 12 year-old landed his breakthrough leading part in the TV series The Wonder Years.
25 years later, Savage is the man you want to increase the hype of a TV comedy, with his directing resume comprising of dozens of episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Happy Endings, Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls.
But can Savage helm a major big screen project as well? Only time will tell, although I’m already (cautiously) optimistic. The name of the movie set to enter into production by early 2014 is “Ladies Night” and will star Charlize Theron.
Theron is also signed up to produce, alongside David Ellison (“True Grit”, “Jack Reacher”) and Dana Goldberg (“Yes Man”, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”). Sounds really intriguing so far, but the fact David Caspe (“That’s My Boy”) is the screenplay’s scribe makes me have reservations about the project.
