Alright. OK. Let’s get this out of the way so we can get to far more pressing matters. Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. is now Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Are we Stars at 'The Avengers' premiere in Los Angeles, CAgood? Great.

Now, let’s finally address the elephant in the room (or to put it in more nerd-friendly terms, the M.O.D.O.K. in the Quinjet): what exactly does Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have in mind for Phil Coulson? After all, we all watched him die in “The Avengers”. Do the events in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. take place before the events in “The Avengers”? Was the Phil Coulson that died in “The Avengers” actually a convincing Life Model Decoy (a robot to all of you filthy non-nerds out there)? Will it be revealed that this Phil Coulson is actually his long lost twin brother Bill Coulson?

Well, all of these questions and less aren’t exactly answered by Superherohype which has released a synopsis for the upcoming ABC series. Which is weird, because it really wouldn’t be considered a massive spoiler to reveal what exactly the deal with Phil Coulson is. I mean, shit!  At any rate, here’s the synopsis:

Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, “Marvel’s The Avengers”, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown. That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Executive Produced and co-written by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”), Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”) and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville,” “Lost,” “Heroes”) comes Marvel’s first live-action TV series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Granted, there are a lot things happening in my life right now that I should be more concerned about. For example, I’m constantly on the verge of becoming homeless. But until I find out what the story is behind Phil Coulson, I can’t really live my life. Please give me back my life Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
