The Hollywood theater that hosts the Academy Awards was recently re-christened the Dolby Theatre after the previous naming rights holder, Kodak, surrendered them as part of bankruptcy proceedings.

It was announced Friday that the new Disney/Pixar film “Brave” will hold its premiere at the theater on June 18, in the first event at the newly named venue. The screening will double as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival.

“Brave” will have its wide release June 22.

The newly named theater will feature various cutting-edge pieces of Dolby technology, including Dolby Atmos and Dolby 3D.
