Chris-Hardwick1EntertainmentTell recently told you that Chris Hardwick’s nerdy star is on the rise. He already hosts Talking Dead, a wrapup show for AMC’s flesh eating hit The Walking Dead. The TV version of his podcast The Nerdist debuted on BBC this spring. Now he’s jumping into the intensely competitive world of late night talk shows on Comedy Central. Funny or Die will co-produce the show, according to Deadline.

Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant will be showrunners. The pair are Comedy Central veterans after starring on cop mockumentary Reno 911!

It’s being described as a comedic panel show with heavy social media involvement. That’s a lot like what Hardwick does on the fan driven Talking Dead, which recently expanded to a whole hour.

The currently untitled show is coming to the 12 am timeslot, which will pit him against a new TBS late night show. The host of that one is Pete Holmes, who just happens to have a podcast on The Nerdist network. With three shows in additional to his YouTube and Nerdist work, Hardwick is everywhere.
