If you thought you spent the whole running time of “Bridesmaids” being embarrassed for Kristen Wiig, well, that was nothing.
The actress’ next film, “Girl Most Likely,” appears to be a lot more of the same- Wiig’s protagonist suffering grave personal embarrassment, over and over again. This time, she’s a woman who suffers a mental breakdown and is released from an institution in to the care of her boozy mom (Annette Bening.) Also on hand are Matt Dillon and Darren Criss.
Here’s the trailer for the film, directed by Shari Springer Berman & Robert Pulcini (“American Splendor,” “The Extra Man”):
“Girl Most Likely” comes out in limited release July 19. Wiig will host Saturday Night Live later this month.
