After yet another season of uncertainty for fans of Community, the NBC sitcom has been picked up for a 13-episode fifth season, the network announced Friday. However, when the network unveiled its fall schedule Sunday, Community was without a definitive timeslot.
The series returned to lackluster ratings, following the departure of series creator Dan Harmon, a several-month delay of its premiere, and the exit of co-star Chevy Chase from the series. But the show rebounded, actually notching decent ratings by the end, even though its finale last week was lambasted by critics.
Deadline reported Saturday that “there is speculation” Harmon could return to the show, although that’s far from confirmed.
For those who are looking to catch up or really miss the show’s glory days, syndicated reruns of Community will begin airing on Comedy Central this fall.
