The love story is about an elderly French couple, played by Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva, that copes with the wife’s gravely damaging strokes and pending death.
“Amour” is directed by Austrian Michael Haneke, who captured the same honor in 2009 for “The White Ribbon.”
