Bourne again
“The Bourne Legacy,” the new Matt Damon-less “Bourne Identity” sequel stars Jeremy Renner, and its newest trailer debuted today. How does it solve the Bourne-without-Bourne problem? The line “Jason Bourne was just the tip of the iceberg” makes a prominent appearance, as do a few familiar faces from the previous films as well as the franchise’s signature shaky-cam style.
That Tony Gilroy- who made the third Bourne film as well as the very good “Michael Clayton” and “Duplicity”- is the director is a good sign, but that the plot seems to involve some kind of sci-fi chromosome modification, not so much.
