During Sunday night’s MTV VMAs in Brooklyn, Relativity Media debuted a new teaser trailer for “Don Jon.” The film is Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s writing/directing debut and according to the Huffington Post, it is a “comedy-drama about a New Jersey bro who’s addicted to pornography.” Well, okay then. That’s a little different from Gordon Levitt’s portrayal of Dick Grayson (notice I am not calling him Robin).
Gordon-Levitt stars as the lead, Don Jon, whose friends nicknamed him Don Jon because of his ability to pull ’10s’ every weekend without fail. But now that Don Jon has found true love, he wants to change his wicked ways. Gordon-Levitt’s costars include Scarlett Johansson, Tony Danza, Julianne Moore and Brie Larson.
The trailer below is basically a steamy interaction between Gordon-Levitt’s character Don Jon and Johansson’s character Barbara, so I’m sure you’ll find plenty of reasons to see “Don Jon” when it opens in theaters September 27. Not to mention, the movie will be rated R. Be sure to pay attention to the New Jersey accents, and by that I mean it’s impossible not to notice.
I know what you’re thinking, Gordon-Levitt totally wrote “Don Jon” just so he could have some saucy scenes with Johansson. The jury’s out on that one!
And in the words of Johansson, “Don’t you think it’s better when it means something?”
