It seems that the FX series, The Bridge, was so successful for the network that they ordered a second season. The Bridge is a crime thriller that delves into the tensions surrounding the US-Mexico border. The FX drama stars Demian Bichir and Diane Kruger.
So starting next summer, fans of the series will be treated to 13 more episodes of the acclaimed drama.
Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions said in a statement:
“We’ve been blown away by the compelling performances of Demian Bichir and Diane Kruger and the writing of Meredith Stiehm, Elwood Reid and their team, and are thrilled to be able to continue this journey for another season. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Rich Ross, Carolyn Bernstein and everyone at Shine America.”
According to FX, The Bridge was the number one new scripted cable series launch of the summer for adults in the age range 18-49. The first season averaged 3.65 million total viewers.
So I guess the question is: If your friends all watch the TV show The Bridge, will you watch it too? (Ignore the horrible attempt for a jump off a bridge joke).
