“The Bourne Legacy” release date has been pushed back from August 3 to August 10.
According to Deadline, Universal denies that the decision was forced by reshoots, instead noting that it wanted to seize extra promotional opportunities with the 2012 Summer Olympics, as well as maximize its potential returns by not competing head-to-head with “Dark Knight Rises” and “Total Recall.”
The movie will be the fourth in the Bourne series; originally starring Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, the series will continue with Jeremy Renner playing the hero, CIA agent Aaron Cross. The movie will also star Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton.
