The producer of the upcoming biopic of Steve Jobs, which will star Ashton Kutcher, revealed some details about the project in an interview over the weekend.
The film, which has the working title “Jobs: Get Inspired,” will focus on Job’s early life at Apple, and has already cast Kutcher as Jobs.
“Our movie primarily focuses on the early years of Apple, its founding and the up and down years: 1971-2000,” producer Mark Hulme of Five Star Institute said in an interview with website Neowin.
Hulme also said that the Jobs film will begin shooting in May and is expected to be released in the 4th quarter of this year. Distribution deals for the film are “in the works,” Hulme said.”
Joshua Michael Stern, who is best known for directing the comedy “Swing Vote” will direct the upcoming film.
Hulme’s project is not to be confused with the adaptation of “Steve Jobs,” the bestselling authorized biography by Walter Isaacson that was released last year. Sony has optioned the rights to the book but has not announced plans to move forward with a film.
