The inevitable movie adaptation of the popular erotica novel Fifty Shades of Grey is getting closer, with the appointment this week of producers.
According to Deadline.com, Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti will produce the Fifty Shades film, for Universal and Focus Features. The two also produced “The Social Network” and are currently working on the Tom Hanks/Paul Greengrass film “Captain Phillips,” about an American ship’s confrontation with Somali pirates.
Universal won a multi-million dollar bidding war for the rights to E.L. James’ novel earlier this year. No director or cast has been announced.
