The Texas high school football saga Friday Night Lights has been a theatrical movie and a highly regarded, five-season TV series. But first, it was a Pulitzer Prize-winning book by the mercurial journalist H.G. “Buzz” Bissinger.
Now, Buzz is back with a downloadable sequel to the book, called After Friday Night Lights. The book, part of the Byliner Original series and available as a Quick Read at Apple’s iBookstore, a Kindle Single at Amazon, and a NOOK Snap at BN.com, takes a look at the author’s relationship with Boobie Miles, a star player on that 1988 Odessa Permian team, and the author’s relationship with him over the ensuing 25 years.

Bissinger was pushing the book Thursday morning on his famously cranky Twitter feed.
