Ken Burns To Profile Roosevelts in New Documentary

Ken Burns’ next documentary for PBS will be The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, a seven-part series that will focus on three individuals in particular; presidents Theodore and Franklin D. Roosevelt, as well as Franklin’s wife Eleanor.

Airing in 2014 and spanning more than 14 hours, the voices of the political figures will be provided by actors Meryl Streep, Paul Giamatti and Edward Herrman.

Ken Burns career as a director of documentaries first started in 1981 with Brooklyn Bridge and, since then, he was won numerous Emmy Awards and been twice nominated for an Academy Award. His latest documentary Dust Bowl will air on PBS November 18 and 19.
