The Killing
Putting an end to one of the more disappointing trajectories for a prestige cable drama, AMC Friday announced the cancellation of The Killing.
The series, created by Veena Sud and an adaptation of a Danish mini-series, debuted to strong reviews and ratings in the spring of 2011, before a meandering first season tested the patience of viewers, culminating in one of the most infuriating season finales in history.
The show returned this year for a second season but its ratings were off.
