Miley Cyrus, the singer who made it safe for stuffed animals to gyrate on stage, will have a two-hour behind the scenes concert special on NBC. Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour is airing July 6 from 9-11 p.m. ET. It will feature her concerts from the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, Spain and MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
According to NBC, the special will go behind the scenes and examine how Cyrus became a global phenomenon. Since it’s on network TV, I’m assuming no giant inflatable penises will be used in the making of this special. Cyrus had to postpone several American performances on this tour due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.
“Bangerz” is certified Platinum and created the monster hit “Wrecking Ball,” the video for which launched a thousand parodies. The former Hannah Montana is one of the most polarizing artists in the business. Those who don’t like her can’t understand why other people do, those that love her can’t enough. She’s moved 12 million albums in the United States alone.
