Deadline reported that Paramount has revealed its plans to make “Jack Ryan” a trilogy that focuses on the action hero’s earlier days prior to the days of “The Hunt for Red October”, “Clear and Present Danger,” “Patriot Games” and “The Sum of All Fears.”
Guiding the story will be director Kenneth Branagh, who will also play the Russian villain. And recently added to the cast is Keira Knightley, who will play the title character’s love interest. She beat out actresses like Evangeline Lilly and Felicity Jones for the coveted role. The series will come to the big screen in 2013.
