The Weinstein Company has released another trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming “The Master,” which will come to theaters nationwide on Sept. 21.
The movie is about a troubled ex-soldier (Joaquin Phoenix) who finds solace under the controlling guidance of an emerging cult figure (Philip Seymour Hoffman), much at the displeasure of the leader’s wife (Amy Adams). Widely speculated to be based on L. Ron Hubbard’s founding of Scientology in the 1950s, the newest trailer for “The Master” reveals hints towards the plot as well as tense scenes of insanity.
