The latest round of controversies involving Lena Dunham has not prevented her HBO show, ‘Girls,’ from receiving another renewal from the network. Neither has that whole part about the fourth season not even starting yet.
Yes, HBO announced Monday that ‘Girls’ will in fact receive a fifth season, as announced during the HBO premiere of the new season, per Alan Sepinwall. The show’s fourth season begins Sunday on the network.
Dunham has been under fire in recent months for various passages of her memoir, “Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s “Learned”” both involving youthful sexual experimentation with her younger sister and a man who she says sexually assaulted her during her time at Oberlin College.
