CBS is setting the start of its Sunday primetime to 7:30 p.m. Eastern time (30 minutes later than usual), in order to avoid clashing with late football games, reports Deadline.com.

Throughout the football season, Sundays with doubleheaders will push CBS’s primetime back, stretching the network’s programming to 11:30 p.m. on those nights.

CBS originally resisted this time change so its entertainment programming could follow the game immediately, with minimum loss of viewership. NFL recently decided to move the kickoff time of the late afternoon game from 4:15  to 4:25 p.m. in order to avoid overlap with the earlier game, prompting CBS’ decision.
