Tom Hanks To Play Walt Disney in Upcoming Movie, ‘Saving Mr. Banks’

Two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks will be the first to portray Walt Disney in a dramatic film, reports Movie Line.

The story centers around Disney’s twenty-year pursuit of the film rights to P.L. Travers’ novel, Mary Poppins, and the partnership he develops with the uptight author during the sixties. The two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson will play the role of the testy novelist.
