Usually a year or less on Saturday Night Live  is not a good harbinger for one’s career.

That’s a maxim Jenny Slate has blissfully ignored.

The comedian has been on roll since departing from SNL after the 2009-10 season. Her massive online hit, “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” led to a book deal. She’s been appearing regularly on movies and TV.

And now Slate will be creating lines for Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Slate has been hired to write a script for a “Looney Tunes” reboot that will supposedly blend live action and CG.

Details are scarce regarding the project, including Slate’s take. It’s safe to assume that it should be enough for Marcel to upgrade his furniture from raisins to Raisinettes.
