“The Mummy” Franchise Reboot on the Way

In 1999, Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz starred in an action thriller with a sense of humor, known as “The Mummy.” The series went on to gross over $1.25 billion and it might still have some miles to go.

Len Wiseman, the director of the “Underworld” series and the latest “Total Recall,” will be breathing new life into the series. As he told Deadline.com,

There has been no news of plot details or casting developments, but the film is expected to sweep into theaters in 2014.
