Having received a continuous flow of praise and the People’s Choice Awards at the Toronto Film Festival, David O. Russell’s “The Silver Linings Playbook” is becoming a serious Oscar contender. The film stars Bradley Cooper as a man who, having recently been released from an eight-month stay at a mental institution, is trying to piece his life back together with the help of his father (Robert De Niro) and his new “friend” (Jennifer Lawrence). Check out the second trailer for this touching dark comedy.
The film comes out in November.
