Sony Pictures is working to turn “Little House On The Prairie” into a feature film, reports Deadline.

“Little House On The Prairie” is based on the classic children’s book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder written between 1932 and 1943. The series centered around pioneer life in the late 19th century American West. It became the basis for a hit TV series, which ran from 1974 -1983 and starred Michael London and Melissa Gilbert.

The new feature film will be directed by David Gordon Green (“Pineapple Express,” “The Sitter”) and written by Abi Morgan (“Shame,” “The Iron Lady”).
