Celebrity Splash
Its been less than two months since the 2012 Summer Olympics and American TV fans are still raging for water sports. ABC has just picked up a new reality competition show, Celebrity Splash from Eyeworks USA, Deadline reported Friday.
Based on the show ‘Sterren Springen’ from the Netherlands, Celebrity Splash, ordered straight to series, will appear in the same vein of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and its failed spinoff ‘Skating with the Stars,’ in which celebrities will compete before a live audience and a panel of judges.Performing high dives with the difficulty and heights increasing each week, the celebrity contestants will receive weeks of formal training prior to filming.
The ABC project will be executive produced by JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson and Brant Pinvidic.
