Its been announced that later this year, 90’s girl group TLC will reunite for a U.S tour with surviving members Rozanda “Chili” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, and a visual projection of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
This week marks the 10th anniversary of Lopes’ untimely death in a car accident in Roma, Honduras on April 25, 2002. The tour will be the first time the group has performed since their farewell show in 2003.
TMZ claimed that five major cities have already been booked, and the group would use a hologram of Left Eye, such as the digital simulation of Tupac Shakur that was used at Snoop Dogg’s headlining performance at the Coachella Festival.
While Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins confirmed the group will be going on tour and will use images of Left Eye during live performances, she made a comment on Twitter saying TLC did not give a statement to TMZ and does not have five shows already booked.
In addition to the group going on tour, TLC is rumored to be working on a new album and working with VH1 to create a biopic about their music careers.
