Cinematic geniuses Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have previously joined forces with “Gangs of New York,” “The Aviator” and “The Departed,” and are now teaming up for the new film “The Wolf of Wall Street,” which now has a release date in late 2013.
Written by Terence Winter, the creator of Boardwalk Empire, the movie will follow the rise of a Wall Street hotshot and his dark descent into addiction.
The drama is currently filming in New York City with fellow actors Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Rob Reiner and Jean Dujardin, and has just obtained Paramount Pictures as its distributor. If things continue according to schedule, the movie is set to be released to best coordinate with the awards season.
