NBC Thursday announced that it has cancelled Animal Practice, the Wednesday-night veterinary sitcom that starred Justin Kirk and a prominent monkey co-star. The series will continue to air through Nov. 7, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Does the cancellation make way for the return of Community? Alas, no. Whitney, the other veteran NBC sitcom that had its Friday premiere delayed earlier this month, will step into the Animal Practice slot, while Community remains in limbo.
However, there is one silver lining for Community fans- the monkey on Animal Practice, who earlier appeared on Community as “Annie Boobs,” is now free and clear to return to his former show.
