MTV to Host ‘Restore the Shore’ Benefit With ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast

MTV is hosting an one-hour live fund-raising special entitled ‘Restore the Shore,’ aimed to raise money towards rebuilding the Seaside Heights, N.J. boardwalk and to aid neighboring individuals and businesses victimized by Hurricane Sandy last week.

The TV event, airing at 11 p.m. on Nov. 15 will broadcast from the network’s Time Square studios. ‘Restore the Shore’ will feature guest appearances and cast members from MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ reality series, which is based in the coastal town. Working with the non-profit Architecture for Humanity, all proceeds will go to the Borough of Seaside Heights.

Additionally, the Red Cross has launched an easy way to donate to those afflicted by the disaster; simply text ‘REDCROSS’ to 90999 and follow instructions to learn how you can help out.
