Here’s your box office report for this past weekend, complete with snarky commentary.
.) “Wreck-It-Ralph,” $49.1M. John C. Reilly is an actor whom I love to see working, so I embrace any success he has.
.) “Flight,” $25M. It took me three or four runs through the preview before I recognized Melissa Leo playing an apparently normal person. I didn’t think that was possible.
.) “Argo,” $10.2M. With Christmas coming up, I feel it’s important to note that I think “Surviving Christmas” (one of Ben Affleck’s leading man disasters) is actually a halfway decent film. I’m hoping the success of “Argo” will warm up that old chestnut.

.) “The Man with the Iron Fists,” $8.2M. I cannot figure out Russell Crowe’s career at this point.
.) “Taken 2,” $6M. Apparently, there will be another sequel. I must ask: Who’s left to take?
